There are many different types of websites, each boasting their own range of elements and features, making some better and more cost-effective for certain solutions.

We have summarised the different website types below:

Static Website: Offers a great deal of layout and design flexibility, but does not offer the ability of editing and managing your own content.

Dynamic Website: Offers a great deal of layout and design flexibility and many advanced features and functionality can be implemented to meet exact specifications, requirements and functionality. Generally, this option does not offer the ability of editing and managing your own content, although we do often add this functionality.

Content Management System Website: Offers the flexibility of allowing website owners with little or no web design knowledge to manage and edit their own content. The Content Management Systems that we utilise offer thousands of additional add-on components, most of which are available at little or no additional charge. The only disadvantage of using a Content Management System is that they offer a little less freedom as far as the website layout is concerned.

eCommerce Website: An eCommerce Website (or online Store/Shop) is a website where services or products are sold online. Depending on the required functionality, a Content Management System with eCommerce Functionality is often recommended, as this is the most cost-effective eCommerce Solution.

Mobile Website (or Mobi Site): This is a website that is designed specifically for viewing from a mobile device or mobile phone. Often, we integrate intelligent code (programming) to detect whether or not a user is accessing a website through a mobile device, in which case the user will automatically be re-directed to the mobi site, which is optimised for viewing from a mobile device.
